What the converter does

This tool brings together three simple conversions, chosen with the buttons at the top: turning an image into Base64 text, converting a text to UPPERCASE and converting a text to lowercase. It does not convert between formats such as PDF, Word, JPG or PNG; if that is what you are looking for, this is not the right tool.

How to use it

Image to Base64

  1. Leave "Image → Base64" selected and click the upload area, or drag the image onto it, to choose an image from your device (any image file the browser recognizes, such as JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP or SVG).
  2. A preview appears and the full Base64 code, in the format data:image/png;base64,..., shows up in the text box.
  3. Click "Copy Base64" and paste it wherever you need.

Text to uppercase or lowercase

  1. Choose "Text → Uppercase" or "Text → Lowercase".
  2. Type or paste the text into the box above.
  3. Click the conversion button and then "Copy".

What each conversion is for

Practical examples

Keep in mind that Base64 increases the size of the data by about one third compared with the original file. That is why the method suits small images; for large photos, it is better to keep the file separate.

Tips

Privacy and how it works

The conversions happen in your browser. The image is read locally and the text is processed by the page itself, with no file or text sent to any server and no external libraries. Nothing is saved on your device. The page shows ads; more details in the Privacy Policy.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert PDF, Word or JPG to PNG here?

No. The only conversions are image to Base64 and text to uppercase or lowercase. For PDF, see the PDF tool on the site, if it covers what you need.

Is there a size limit for the image?

The page does not impose a limit, but very large images produce huge texts that can slow the browser down when displaying or copying them.

Does the generated Base64 come with the "data:image" prefix?

Yes, the output is the complete data URL (for example, data:image/jpeg;base64,...). If the API you use only asks for the part after the comma, delete the prefix.

Can I go from Base64 back to an image?

Not with this tool. But if you paste the complete data URL into the browser's address bar, it usually displays the image.

Are my images stored?

No. They stay only in the browser's memory while the page is open.
